Hello! My name is Anika Firehammer, and I am the proud creator of Good Green Choice. This platform was born out of my love for nature, forests, and people. I realized this passion needed to translate into something impactful, especially as I witnessed the ecological and social damage caused by fast fashion. (Photos in this post are pure Anika, my truest natural self. I don’t have professional photos and I believe that’s okay 🙂 I hope you think so too!)
The journey began when I found myself trapped in the allure of cheap, trendy clothing. I once succumbed to the marketing gimmicks of worldwide brands, convinced that the newest, cutest deal was essential. But a turning point came with my purchase from one such fast-fashion brand, where the guilt of contributing to environmental harm hit me hard. Like, HARD HARD.
That experience was my wake-up call, forcing a reevaluation of how my daily actions impact our world. I vowed never to be a part of this cycle again and decided to channel my realization into proactive change. Good Green Choice stands as a beacon for all who wish to learn about and implement ethical and sustainable fashion choices. Together, we can challenge the fast fashion industry, cutting its power by making informed, conscientious decisions.

In College, I’ve surrounded myself with nature, I developed a profound respect for our environment. This love for the natural world intertwined with my passion for change, is a huge part of what I start for. As I dove deeper into the fashion industry, I realized not everything that glitters is gold, what’s gold is the trees, the bees, the hills, the land, our skin, our time, and the genuine human connection. Confronted by a blindless sight, I saw mass corruption, mass greed, waste, pollution, and a species that needs to find its truth and purpose again.
It was this dual realization that pushed me to action. Through Good Green Choice, my mission is to educate and inspire a community of informed, ethical consumers. At the core, we are about making thoughtful choices that support sustainability, fairness, kindness, and love for the earth—values I hold dear to my heart.
My vision for Good Green Choice extends beyond just making ethical fashion choices. It’s about reshaping the way we all consider and consume clothing, aiming for a future where fast fashion is less dominant in our purchasing decisions. I am also an artist, working in many mediums, I love performative art, site-specific installations, and mark-making style art. Something in my artistic future is more earth people (one photo I will show below). Art has brought me peace and contemplation in this conflicting chaotic world. Whether I am outside, or creating, these moments are a constant reminder of why I do what I do, fueling my commitment to protect our world and serve the people.
